La compagnia di viaggio che si occuperà di portare i passeggeri sulle orbite sarà la Virgin Galactic dello statunitense Richard Branson, società che recentemente ha aperto "Your Private Italy", un tour operator con sede a Salerno guidato da Seth Snider. Il dirigente, a proposito del pacchetto viaggio, lo scorso 8 maggio ha dichiarato: "Fino a 15 anni fa questo progetto sarebbe apparso assurdo. Ora è una realtà e si possono già prenotare i posti. L'investimento iniziale, per ora, è di appena due milioni di euro. Tale cifra comprende l'acquisto di tre isole tropicali e la costruzione delle strutture per permettere ai turisti di prepararsi fisicamente e culturalmente alla prima uscita dall'atmosfera terrestre.
